Hayride Pictures!
We had 17 entries in our soup/chili making contest (although two of the entries weren' soup or chili but dishes from Saudi Arabia). The winner of the contest was Kendra with her green chili. It was awesome! Everyone wanted her recipe. Check out the pictures to get a better idea of what went on.

Sushi Party Part VI Recap and Videos!
I think we all had a great time. There was plenty of sushi to go around which is amazing considering the great turnout.
Check out these pictures.
Here's some videos for your enjoyment (special thanks to Chad for recording the video)....
Boyu used to just play guitar beautifully. Now he plays and sings at the same time. This is Boyu from Zhongua covering Jack Johnson's "Better Together."
This piece is soothing to my soul. Jun has a nice touch. This is the first part of the song.
Here's the second part of the song.
Jun rocks out with this number. I love his use of dynamics especially...
Minako, Amber, and Jun perform "Only Hope." Enjoy these two lovely voices.
This song is an Avett Brothers cover called "Shame" performed by Will, Dave and Ben (aka "The Spicer Trio"). Notice the wonderful instrumentation; guitar, banjo and ukelele.
Boatloads of Sushi. Enough said.

Yasu the Magician
Try to keep up with his Japanese pronunciation. He won over the H.I.S. Labor Day Picnic crowd. Hopefully he'll do the same at Sushi Party Part VI this weekend.
Yosakoi!
Here's another performance at the H.I.S. Labor Day Picnic. Yosakoi is modern Japanese folk dancing. You could probably join this group if you want to...
KSU Multicultural Dance Society
This is at the Annual H.I.S. (Helping International Students) Labor Day Picnic. Feel free to dance along friends!
